Sourcing as a discipline.
Sustainability in the textile industry is not a marketing position. It is a technical, logistical, and ethical commitment that requires honest reporting — and a willingness to say no to convenient shortcuts.
At AltaSeta, we treat sustainability as a sourcing discipline — not a category. We ask questions about fiber origin, chemical processes, water usage, and labor conditions as a matter of standard practice. We work only with mills that can substantiate their claims with documentation.
We are also honest about complexity. Natural fibers have environmental advantages that synthetics don't — and production impacts that sustainability marketing often overlooks. We help our clients make informed decisions, not comfortable ones.

Certifications we
work with.
- 01
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
All materials in our catalog are tested for harmful substances at concentrations relevant to direct skin contact.
- 02
GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard
For clients requiring organic fiber certification, we source from GOTS-certified mills with full chain-of-custody documentation.
- 03
GRS — Global Recycled Standard
For recycled fiber content — including recycled cashmere and wool blends — we work with GRS-certified suppliers and provide transaction certificates upon request.
Active certifications available from our supplier network.
Documentation provided on request.
We visit our suppliers. We know
the people who run them.
We can tell you where a fabric was woven, what dyes were used, and what the working environment looks like — because Nataliia and our Shanghai team have been there.
On request, we provide full supplier disclosure to clients with established relationships, under appropriate confidentiality agreements.
Sustainable options, transparently
priced.
Our current sustainable material offer includes recycled cashmere blends, GOTS-certified organic linen, Peace Silk (Ahimsa), and recycled wool constructions. These materials carry a premium in both price and lead time — and we are transparent about both.
